Pahantekijä webcomic - updates weekly!
Figured I could let you guys know what’s up since it’ll most likely affect my online shenanigans at some point.
Long story short:
I got a job! Yay!
It’s in another town and I have to move all my belongings 100+ km to the east by the end of the year! Nay!
This will affect my ability to keep Pahantekijä updated! Mega-nay!
Long story long:
So yah, after a few years of being mostly unemployed with occasional freelance gigs, I got a full-time job and it’s an art job no less. An art job, where I get to work with the best of the industry here in Finland. I have no idea what the hell happened there, but it’s pretty amazing.
The only downside is that the studio is going to be set up in another town, so I have to move all my worldly possessions there by the end of the year. I've started to do some apartment hunting to find a reasonably-priced flat that allows pets. (And isn't scheduled for pipe repair next year, what the heck, did a contractor have a sale on these or something?)
While it’s awesome I got a job, I’m really not into this moving thing, and not just because it’s a hassle. I love my current home town and I honestly wouldn't want to leave. Especially since the town I have to move to is my old home town, which I was really happy to leave behind. I have really mixed feelings about the whole thing and so far I haven’t been able to decide if this is overall a happy or a sad twist of faith.
While that’s going on, I still have to finish this one huge freelance project I’ve been working on and it’s eating up a lot of the time and energy I’d like to use for moving arrangements.
And all of that is neatly wrapped in a bow by some really annoying back and leg pain caused by the fact that my work desk is entirely too tiny for my stupid long legs. Wrist pain has also made signs of returning. Of course, in the middle of all this, I’d also like to have a life that maybe could include seeing friends and having some fun.
Sooooo, with all that going on, I assume Pahantekjiä will have sporadic updates or go on a hiatus altogether at some point, most likely as early as the coming Wednesday, simply because I have no time or energy to work on it. Not to mention every time I get stressed, it’s my confidence in that very project that takes a huge dip and it gets really hard to motivate myself to work on it, even if I had time and energy. …Which is kinda what’s happening now. Ergh.
Down the toilet with you, you silly story.
I’ll also probably become inactive or disconnected from the internet when the moving business goes on full swing but I’ll make more posts about that when it happens.
Uhh, so yeah. A lot going on. Phew.
